The fashionista of funk is closing for good and announcing an “Everything Must Go” blowout sale for all 54 stores and 9 outlets. I don’t know if anyone can replace her fresh upbeat style….
Oh right, there’s always Nicki Minaj!
Reportedly Nicki was the inspiration behind her Spring 2012 Collection shown above. A match made in heaven if you ask me. She single handedly brought back the bright pink Dr Martens in her video. Plus she looks like a walking Lichtenstein print. Where did Betsey Johnson go wrong?
Perhaps her audience outgrew her clothes…. Maybe her clothes became silly instead of satirical…. or it could be that the economy just didn’t have room in their wallets for her wares.
Either way, it would appear Betsey Johnson has gone vintage….
